Service Learning: A Pathway to Compassionate Citizenship
At Salisbury Academy, service learning is not an add-on — it's a key part of the Jaguar Journey. Integrated across all grade levels, service learning fulfills a central component of our mission: that students become compassionate citizens and stewards of both their environment and their community.
From the earliest grades, students are introduced to the joy and responsibility of serving others. Each class partners with local nonprofits throughout the year, building meaningful relationships and understanding the impact of community engagement. Families, too, are invited into this journey, with regular opportunities for school-wide outreach and service events.
As students grow, so does their commitment to making a difference. Upper School students take their impact to the next level through an active Junior Civitan Club and ongoing service initiatives that are student-led and mission-driven.
Through every stage of the Jaguar Journey, Salisbury Academy students cultivate empathy, leadership, and a lifelong love for service — becoming not only thoughtful learners but compassionate citizens of the world.
